By CBR Staff Writer

Globix Corp, the New York City-based ISP will open its 160,000 square feet point of presence – SuperPOP – in lower Manhattan’s Silicon Alley in February next year. The company says it cost $100m or so to construct. It has similar, although smaller facilities in San Francisco and London. Globix has also just paid Qwest Communications about $35m for the long-term rights to OC-3 (155 Mbps) capacity on Qwest’s fiber network.
