The contract provides for the equipment and services needed to double the IT integrator’s capability for delivering voice and data recovery services via satellite in the event of a disaster that compromises or destroys existing phone lines.

Under the terms of the contract, Globecomm Systems will provide a transportable earth station terminal, teleport services, voice over IP services, data services, and operation and maintenance services 24 hours a day each day. Network support will be provided from the Long Island International Teleport located at Globecomm Systems’ headquarters in Hauppauge, New York.

This satellite solution can also be utilized to re-establish data connectivity to the company network or the Internet.
