The high security-payment card industry (HS-PCI) solution works with the enhanced file transfer (EFT) server to offer security. Globalscape claims that it includes data protection in transit and at rest, controlling access to data and ongoing PCI data security standard (DSS) compliance.
According to Globalscape, the demand of its solution is broad as the PCI DSS is becoming a standard for protecting credit card data as well as patient records in a healthcare company, account balances at financial institutions and social security numbers in a federal or local government program.
As a security model, the PCI DSS requirements can help companies control compliance costs and build a more efficient and reliable IT infrastructure that delivers better service while incurring less risk, said John Kelly, director of marketing at Globalscape.
The HS-PCI solution is available at a price of $5,490.
PCI DSS solution portfolio is also offered by software company EMC through its security division RSA. The solution enables compliance by securing information independent of location and throughout the data lifecycle.
