Despite all that talk of a shocking level of losses, the Global One telecommunications joint venture of Deutsche Telekom AG, France Telecom SA and Sprint Corp expects to break even earlier than expected, the company’s chief executive said yesterday. Viesturs Vucins says he expects sales this year to total $1.2bn to $1.3bn, compared with more than $800m for the period from February to December 1996.
