Global Imaging Systems, a Xerox company, has acquired Midwest Business Solutions of Des Moines, Iowa.
Midwest Business Solutions is an independent distributor of copiers, printers and multifunction systems. The company will immediately begin offering Xerox’s full range of office multifunction products.
Through the acquisition, Global Imaging Systems will create a nationwide network of locally-based providers focused on improving document workflow and office efficiency for small and mid-size businesses (SMEs).
Global Imaging Systems has also acquired Premier Office Equipment of Marshalltown, Iowa, and the assets of United Business Solutions of Addison,Illinois, last month.
Global Imaging Systems corporate operations executive vice-president Tom Salierno Jr., said the acquisition — the fourth this year, and their second in Iowa — further expands Global’s US presence.
"With Midwest and Premier joining the Global Imaging network of Xerox companies, customers across Iowa benefit from an expanded lineup of document management offerings aimed at increasing their productivity and reducing their costs," Salierno Jr. said.
