Harold L Gilroy is dead again – and as this is the third time in five years, he is beginning to get used to it, and is no longer phased by his routine demise; indeed by now he knows what to do – show up in person, reports United Press International: Mr Gilroy is a US Navy veteran, and it’s the Veteran’s Administration that is so keen to do to him what the Germans, Japs, Koreans, Vietnamese and all America’s sundry enemies over the years have failed to do – They push the wrong buttons when I send in documents they want – any time I send in the papers, they put me in for dead, he says, quietly determined to convince the VA’s computers that Gilroy is still very much here.
