Gigabyte has launched three ultra lightweight notebooks X11, U2442 and U2440 including a carbon fibre notebook that weighs only 975g.

With less than a kilogram of weight and thickness of 0.3cm, the X11 is an 11.6” is made of carbon fibre which makes it tough and durable, the company noted.

The notebook also offers computing intelligence and data security ability with built-in Intel Rapid Start Technology and Intel Anti-Theft Technology.

Gigabyte X11 comes with a Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium or Genuine Windows 7 Professional, 128GB SSD and a 16:9 HD screen with LED backlight to make the images crisp and vivid.

The company has also launched the 14” U2442 series lightweight notebook which weighs only 1.57kg, featuring 3rd generation Intel Core processors, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M / GT 640M graphics, THX TruStudio Pro audio technology and 1600×900 HD+ display.

Gigabyte U2442 has a dual air vent design, one for CPU and one for GPU that eliminates heat and keeps the notebook from overheating, as well as THX TruStudio Pro audio technology to eliminate sound distortion and HDMI 1.4 on external displays.

Gigabyte U2440 is a 14” notebook with 3rd generation Intel Core processors, NVIDIA GeForce GT630M graphics, 1TB HDD storage and a built-in ODD in a thin form factor of 21.5mm.

The U2440 has a 1TB HDD and supports an mSATA for Intel Rapid Start, which allows the notebook to resume from sleep mode.

The notebook has USB 3.0 for 10X faster data transfers, HDMI1.4 supporting 3D/HD output and Bluetooth 4.0.
