Getty Images Inc. the leading provider of imagery and related products and services, today announced it has expanded its presence in the South American advertising, design, business communication and publishing markets by re-introducing The Image Bank products under new local management in Brazil and by opening two additional sales offices in Belo Horizonte and Curitiba.

The Image Bank and Image Bank Film collections, which were previously available only through a third-party franchise operation in Brazil, will now be available directly through Getty Images’ five Brazilian sales offices. Customers will now be able to receive all the major brands from Getty Images, including Stone, PhotoDisc, Allsport and the Getty Images News Services brands (Liaison, Online USA and Newsmakers). As a result, Getty Images will be able to provide a greater selection of photography and film footage, and better service to its customers.

We opened our first wholly owned office in Brazil three years ago and our performance in Brazil has significantly exceeded our expectations. The creative community has developed tremendously over the last few years and we’re very excited to be growing our business in Brazil as part of this growth, said Jonathan Klein, co-founder and chief executive officer of Getty Images. Direct distribution of The Image Bank brands further supports Getty Images’ solid commitment to its global customers to provide the best selection of imagery and we’re pleased to be able to better serve the visual needs of our Brazilian customers.
