GERMAN CAD VENDOR EXPANDS IN ITALY THROUGH ACQUISITION

German CAD vendor Mensch und Maschine Software AG (MuM), headquartered in the town of Wessling, says it has acquired the entire CAD business of Italian market leader Micrograph, from Milan. Without revealing the exact value of this acquisition, the company explains that, together with its March increase of its share in private holding company Channel srl, from 51% to 100%, it has so far spent a total of $1.78m to date on its expansion into Italy. Also this year it took over market leading CAD vendor in France, Paris-based CADFrance. MuM expects total revenues this year of $95m, increasing to $148m next year.
