Reuters quoted unnamed government sources claiming that the armed forces had set a June deadline to decide on whether to go ahead with the deal which would see a CSC-led consortium including MobilCom AG and EADS GmbH implement a new SAP, IT and communications infrastructure.
Negotiations over the terms of the deal have dragged on since CSC’s consortium was named in April 2002 as the preferred bidder for the contract. George Bell, president of CSC Europe told ComputerWire last week: We are still interested in the deal, and it is still in process. We feel that we are in the last 100 yards.
