Document Sciences said its xPression software delivers speed in the initial document design stage, easier long-term document maintenance and more output flexibility.

Mike Hanson, vice president of information technology, commented: xPression will allow us to react to document changes more promptly, resulting in a quicker time to market with a reduction of IT labor and resources to accomplish this.

The insurer added that initial license fees from the Gerber Life xPression technology were realized in 2004, while annual license fees and professional services fees will be realized in 2005.
