Genon Technology Ltd of Hong Kong has signed with IBM China/Hong Kong Corpto preload its personal computers with operating software: in the first year, IBM will deliver at least 20,000 copies of PC-DOS and 5,000 of OS/2 under a contract worth $5m over three years; Genon builds computers in Shunde, Guangdong Province, across the border in China; IBM also said it will also introduce a Chinese version of its OS/2 2.1 in China later this year.
