Genisco Technology Corp, La Mirada, California is now suing IBM to recover the $4m it says it has spent over and above the $3.7m it collected on that development contract over the past two years (CI No 1,067): the company says that the claim was filed prior to IBM’s announced termination for default of the programme, for development and production of the ECR-42 recorder; Genisco is also disputing the default termination by IBM and hopes to get it converted to a convenience termination – it is in talks with the Armonker about that.
