Revenues were flat and operating and net profits down considerably in 1993 at Generale de Service Informatique SA, one of France’s top ten largest software and systems integration firms. Sales came to the equivalent of $447m, virtually equal to 1992’s $443m; operating profit declined 11.3% to $35m, and after-tax profit dropped 28.8% to $11.3m, while net profit after amortisation of the costs of acquisitions made in 1990 and 1991, dropped 49.2% to $7.4m GSI said it experienced greater revenue growth (8.2%) outside of France, notably in Germany, the UK and Switzerland. International sales accounted for 36% of revenues. The company’s president, Jacques Raiman said that GSI has already experienced a greater sales growth tendency so far in 1994 and expects a higher net profit this year.
