General Signal Corp, which acquired semiconductor fabrication equipment manufacturer GCA Corp last year, says that it will establish a chip fabrication technology base somewhere in the south of England: the new technical centre will also host the new European headquarters for General Signal’s Semiconductor Equipment Group.
