The products include D2DLink, online parts sourcing, buying and selling between dealerships; and D2D Express, an automated backorder fulfillment solution incorporating dealership parts inventories into the auto manufacturer’s parts supply chain. For this Canadian implementation, OEConnection introduces complete bilingual capabilities for both English and French Canadian. The internationalization of the products includes kilometer/mile, province/state and postal/zip code conversions as well as additional time zones. OEConnection will support Francophone dealers with translated product manuals, online help and training support in their language of choice.
Tim Turvey, general director of service parts operations at GM of Canada, said: GM’s goal is to provide our customers the right part, at the right time, at the right price. OEConnection’s online tools combined with same or next-day parts delivery will help us do just that.
