GENERAL COMPUTER CUTS PRICES OF THE PERSONAL LASER PRINTER

General Computer Corp, Waltham, Massachusetts has cut the price of its Personal Laser Printer for the Apple Macintosh by 23% to $2,000: the printer, introduced last summer, uses Apple QuickDraw routines to process images and operates with the Mac Plus, SE, Mac II, printing at 300 dots per inch or 72 dots per inch; Microbytes reports that the company will follow up with a PostScript version for under $4,000 in February, and a 2Mb 68000-based upgrade board for existing users.
