GEMINI TECHNOLOGY HAS TO SUPPLY MICROS TO THE SOVIET UNION

By CBR Staff Writer

Gemini Technology Inc, Richmond, British Columbia, says it has significant contracts to supply microcomputer systems to major non-government organisations in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics – the Soviet Union: to ensure a dependable, controllable source of high quality, Gemini-designed equipment, it has bought 51% of Sunrise Technology Inc, the Hong Kong-owned, US-based company that was Gemini’s first system design licensee; a separate systems integration organisation will be established to co-ordinate procurement, sales and technical support activities, and to provide a compatible, service-oriented interface with this important new market; the Canadian designs and manufactures MS-DOS micro chips, boards and system-level products for sale worldwide.
