GEC TIPPED TO ACQUIRE TI GROUP – OTHER ACQUISITIONS LIKELY TO FOLLOW

GEC is tipped to beat all comers to the Creda white goods side of the drearily-named TI Group Plc (it used to have the bouncy name of Tube Investments until some boring little accountant decided that something completely anonymous would be more appropriate – but don’t look for GEC to sink back into its accustomed lethargy even if it does land the prize – according to the company’s number one front man these days, Malcolm Roberts, Creda is just one of six such pots currently on the boil at GEC, another being the aerospace and defence division of Lear-Siegler Inc.
