It is still far from clear exactly what will be included in and what excluded from the proposed joint GEC-Plessey Telecommunications Ltd company, but GEC said in Jersey yesterday that its deeply disappointing minicomputer company, GEC Computers Ltd, will be going into the joint company. The decision was explained by the fact that the firm is intended to embrace data as well as voice telecommunications.
