GE INFORMATION SERVICES UNVEILS AN IBM MAINFRAME SW PACKAGE

General Electric Co’s GE Information Services has unveiled an IBM mainframe software package which enables an Electronic Data Interchange user to translate formatted documents to and from the formats used by his internal business system applications, even when those systems are operating on geographically dispersed remote computing facilities: EDI Central System is $20,000 for the first copy, with additional copies at $12,000 each with annual subscription per copy of $2,400 after the first year.
