GCX launches London Cloud X node

'We will be one of the world's most disruptive companies."

By Amy-Jo Crowley

Global Cloud Xchange (GCS) has launched its first European cloud node in London.

The Cloud X platform delivers applications on a virtualised infrastructure, which it claims will help users deploy "complex multi-tiered" applications directly on to customer’s enterprise networks ‘in minutes, rather than months.’

"Cloud X is changing the paradigm of cloud computing," said CEO Bill Barney. "The Network must now undergo a profound transformation, from a static entity, to a dynamic, intelligent, application-aware fabric that can support multiple traffic requirements, diverse geographies and flexible pricing models."

It comes after the company launched its Cloud X platform in October and deployed Cloud X in Hong Kong and Silicon Valley.

Barney added: "We believe we will be one of the most disruptive companies in the next five years because we will become the fabric that enables the global cloud."
