Gateway has launched new One ZX Series all-in-one (AIO) desktops PCs featuring multi-touch capabilities of Microsoft Windows 7.
According to Gateway, the new series resembling a sleek flat-panel TV, includes an adjustable back stand, integrated speakers, wireless keyboard and mouse, and integrated HD web cam, microphone and HD stereo speaker system.
The new series with multi-touch technology offers many gesture combinations and allows consumers to touch icons on the PC’s screen to launch applications. In addition, the Gateway TouchPortal, an intuitive interface that lies on top of Windows 7 serves as the starting point for managing a suite of Gateway one-touch gadgets and Microsoft touch applications, the company said.
Reportedly, Gateway’s TouchGadgets provide access to music, videos, photos, social media networks and includes: TouchMusic, TouchPhot, TouchMediaShare, TouchFriends and TouchMemo. In addition, TouchPortal also includes several third party apps optimised for Windows 7 multi-touch.

According to Gateway, the new ZX series includes ZX6810 high-performance model. The One ZX6810-01 comes loaded with an Intel Core 2 Quad processor, ATI HD4670 graphics, 1TB hard drive, 64GB solid state drive (SSD), Windows 7 Home Premium Edition, 23-inch full HD widescreen Ultrabright LCD, Intel GM45 express chipset, 8GB DDR3 SDRAM (1333MHz), multi-in-one digital media card reader, and a hybrid TV tuner with remote control. It is priced at $1,399.99.
The Gateway One ZX4800 Series features the same design but on a reduced scale, which is suitable for smaller environments. The ZX4800-02 includes Windows 7 Home Premium Edition, 20-in HD widescreen Ultrabright LCD, Intel pentium dual core processor T4300 (2.1GHz, 1MB L2 cache, 800MHz FSB), Intel GL40 express chipset, Intel GMA X4500HD graphics, 4GB DDR2 dual channel memory (800MHz), 750GB SATA hard drive, 6 USB 2.0 ports, wireless keyboard and mouse, and integrated HD webcam. It is priced at $749.99.
The Gateway One ZX6800 and ZX4800 all-in-one PCs are expected to available in late October/early November and FX6810-01 is anticipated to be available later in fourth quarter.
