Gateway has expanded introduced new models in its line of sleek touch-screen all-in-one ZX Series desktop computers. The ZX4300 line comes with the addition of AMD Athlon II X2 processors and other desktop components, and the ZX6900 Series comes with Intel’s Core i3 and i5 processors and the addition of a Blu-ray drive.

According to Gateway, the new ZX4300-01e includes enhanced desktop components and features an AMD Athlon II X2 235e processor, 640GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive, ATI Radeon HD 4270 graphics, 64-bit Windows 7 Home, Premium Edition, and 20-inch HD widescreen Ultrabright LCD.

The new ZX4300-01e also includes 4GB DDR3 dual channel memory (1333MHz), multi-in-one digital media card reader, wireless keyboard and mouse, 10/100/1000 (Gigabit) LAN, 6 USB 2.0 ports (2 side / 4 rear), embedded high-definition audio with 2.1 channel support and Built-in 5W stereo speakers.

The Gateway One ZX6900-01e comes loaded with 64-bit Windows 7 Home, Premium Edition; Intel Core i3 530 processor; 23-inch full HD widescreen Ultrabright LCD; slot-load Blu-ray/DVD drive and high-def audio with 5.1-channel surround sound support, the company said.

In addition, the ZX6900-01e features Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD, 640GB 7200 RPM SATA hard drive, 4GB DDR3 dual channel memory; integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi CERTIFIED; and wireless keyboard and mouse.

Steve Smith, senior business manager for consumer desktops at Acer America, said: “Because all-in-ones integrate a desktop tower into the back of a flat-panel display, they typically use smaller, less powerful notebook components that don’t require a lot of space.

“However, Gateway was able to leverage the latest desktop components to give consumers the best of both worlds powerful performance and lower cost, all in a stylish, space-saving design.”
