Gateway has launched LT3100, the company’s first netbook with a high-definition 11.6-inch display. The netbook comes with AMD Athlon 64 L110 Single-Core processor and ATI Radeon X1270 Graphics.

The LT3100 netbook features 11.6-inch high-definition LED-backlit widescreen display, multi-in-1 digital media card reader, integrated web camera, two built-in stereo speakers, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory and up to a 250GB internal hard drive. It comes with a 6-cell battery, expected to provide backup of up to five hours.

The new netbook with Multi-Gesture Touchpad allows users to move two fingers horizontally to flip through photos, web pages and PDF documents.

The new netbook line comes with preinstalled software including Microsoft Works with Office Home and Student 2007 Trial, Gateway Recovery Management, Adobe Reader, and Norton Internet Security 2009 Trial.

The new Gateway LT3100 is available in several configurations at a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $399.99.
