GATEWAY 2000 PUTS DVD PLAYER IN DESTINATION PC-TV

While Intel pushes to make digital video disk technology standard for personal computers, Gateway 2000 Inc has gone ahead and added DVD capability to the latest model of its Destination large- screen (31-inch) PC-TV device. The new DVD-equipped Destinations, which feature MMX Pentiums, will also play conventional audio compact discs and CD-ROMs. They start at $3,200 and should ship in mid-July.
