GATEWAY 2000: A SPACE COMMODITY

Gateway 2000 can now boast that it has customers out of this world, reports the Wall Street Journal.Two cosmonauts on the Russian Mir space station Anatoly Solovyen and Pavel Vinogradov have ordered $1,999 personal computers for their families at Christmas because they won’t be around to do the shopping. Red faces at Hewlett-Packard, whose logo appears at Nasa headquarters monitoring Mir’s progress.
