Pinning his hopes on Windows NT, Bill Gates says that servers are the highest growth business for Microsoft Corp, and are expected to top $1,000m over a number of years; he says that the server business is growing at over 50% – We believe we’ve just passed the knee of the curve – we’ve seen the volume go up quite substantially as the customers who are doing pilots over the last six to nine months are now deploying NT in large numbers and we expect that over the next year the use of Windows NT on the server will grow dramatically.
