GATES BUYS $8M LONDON HOME

By CBR Staff Writer

Microsoft Corp boss Bill Gates is apparently getting tired of life in Seattle and is poised to move into a 8m pound home in London. Reports in the British press say he is moving into the same tree-lined street in upmarket Holland Park where his buddy Paul Allen already has a home. The move is a surprise because Gates and wife Melinda have only just moved into their $53m mansion by Lake Robinson near Seattle. But Gates is showing a growing fondness for life in England, has a cosy relationship with prime minister Tony Blair and is investing 50m pounds in a research center in Cambridge. According to the Daily Telegraph, he has already got planning permission for a large music room in his new home so clearly plans to party on his visits to London.
