It would seem that the Belgium prankster that pelted Microsoft Corp chief Bill Gates with a custard pie (CI No 3,341) has started bit of a trend. Information monopoly protesters armed with custard pies were waiting outside Gates’ hotel in the Philippines on Friday as he arrived for a meeting with the country’s politicians and technology top dogs. But fortunately for Gates, and unfortunately for the rest of us who would have found the incident highly entertaining, the target managed to avoid the demonstration and the pie throwers had to be content with hitting a man wearing a Bill Gates mask.
