GARZARELLI PREDICTS MARKET CORRECTION OF UP TO 25%

Stock goddess Elaine Garzarelli, who purportedly called the 1987 crash, predicted early afternoon yesterday that the market would correct an additional 15% to 25%. On the day, the Dow Jones industrial average closed down 44.39 at 5346.55. Following Garzarelli’s pronouncement America OnLine closed down $3.25 at $26.25; Computer Associates lost $3.75 to close at $43.37; Cisco Systems fell $3.50 to $47.12; Hewlett-Packard was off $2.12 at $41.12; IBM slipped $2.25 to $90.25; Microsoft got hit, closing $7.62 down at $112.12; Netscape slid $4.25 to $42.25; and Sun Microsystems shed $3.87 to rest at $48.74.
