Nepean, Ontario-headquartered Gandalf Technologies Inc has announced the addition of Basic Rate ISDN to its XpressConnect LANLine 5250i remote access router. According to Gandalf, the offering’s two Wide Area Network ports, combined with the ISDN Basic Rate Interface option, can now be deployed in a number of flexible configurations of ISDN, Frame Relay, leased line and SW56 switched digital services. The product also features automatic back-up over ISDN, as well as overflow coverage for large file transfers. In addition to ISDN, the new 5250i also delivers SPX Spoofing to minimise connections, thereby reducing link charges, says the firm. The ISDN option will be ready at the end of December, with prices starting at $2,000.
