Palo Alto, California-based Gain Technology Inc has signed development agreements with IBM Corp and Sun Microsystems Inc to put Gain’s multimedia application development software on their Unix workstations: using Gain’s software and AIX/6000 or SunOS, customers and software developers will be able to build and deliver distributed, large-scale business applications that incorporate text, graphics, image, sound, animation and video, the company says, noting that its software is object-based and supports workgroup collaboration; the basic Gain software is already on the Sun machines, and the new agreement with Sun involves the latter in developing interactive multimedia training software using the Gain multimedia technology.
