Newcomer Gaia Systems Inc, Menlo Park, California is hoping to make hay out of the Green revolution with software to help handle environmental concerns for business, such as hazardous materials handling and earthquake emergency response: its first two products are Hazmat Business Plan Administrator and Hazmat Reporter, designed to help reduce risk in communities with hazardous materials; they interface with Cameo II, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Computer Aided Management of Emergency Operations and Business Plan Administrator, aimed at fire departments and county planning offices, to meet state and federal hazardous materialsmanagement regulations with a minimum of paperwork, providing a database for the organisation and storage of hazardous materials, including maps to identify storage facilities, complete chemical inventories for each facility, emergency response preparedness plans and such; Reporter contains forms and information required agencies for reporting; the Hypercard software runs on Apple Computer’s Macintosh.
