Fujitsu Frontech claimed that the products are capable of handling up to 8,000 (G610) or 16,000 (G611) new notes, and help retailers, financial services institutions and other businesses to reduce labor costs and human error by automating the currency distribution process.

The G610 and G611 are high-capacity, secure cassette-based systems with new banknote validation supporting first pass acceptance rates. The new solutions offer a flexible front or rear service configuration that can be built into through-the-wall applications. The deposit and recycle cassettes can be configured in any combination from one to four cassettes to meet customer specifications.

In addition to the G610, it will be introducing a prototype of the new Fujitsu Bill Acceptor Unit (BAU), capable of handling 4,000 notes at a rate of seven notes-per-second. This bulk note acceptor quickly counts and sorts currency, placing it into a secure removable cassette. It has a compact design to support bank notes in many countries.

Randy Fox, director of OEM products at Fujitsu Frontech North America, said: “The introduction of the G610 and G611 represents a strong addition to our currency handling product family as it will help retailers, banks and other businesses automate their cash-management process to reduce operational costs and ensure accuracy. We look forward to working with ArcaTech Systems and our other OEM partnersto help deliver the highest-performing currency recycling solutions on the market.”
