FUJITSU TO MARKET GATEWAY SOFTWARE CALLED FCAT

By CBR Staff Writer

Fujitsu Ltd has begun marketing gateway software called FCAT that enables its A series machines, the Sigma workstations and personal computers to be linked to mainframes via communications software or a local area network: the software needs to be loaded only onto the target machines; Fujitsu is hoping to sell 700 systems in the first five years, and looks to the software to increase its share of the personal computer and workstation markets.
