Fujitsu plans to start manufacturing dot matrix printers at its Fujitsu Espana unit in July, and in Hillsboro, Oregon later in the year: other high-value printers – impact line and laser – will continue to be made in Japan but there will be a drive to expand sales of all types in the US and Europe; 32-bit workstations are likely to follow at both plants, and personal computers are set for Hillsboro.
