Japanese press stories are notoriously unreliable, frequently being made up from wishful thinking and misunderstanding in equal parts, but the Nippon Koyo Shimbun reports that Fujitsu Espana will begin assembling M-series IBM-compatible mainframes for the European market later this year. Fujitsu, which has a majority stake in the Spanish company in partnership with Compania Telefonica Nacional de Espana, has announced only that it will begin manufacture of matrix printers shortly at a rate of 2,000 a month.
