FUJITSU SAYS ITS ISDN TELEPHONES NOW WORK WITH NORTHERN TELECOM’s DMS

By CBR Staff Writer

San Jose, California-based Fujitsu Network Switching of America has a Northern Telecom Ltd DMS-compatible version of its SRS-2000 ISDN phone set; an AT&T Co 5ESS version came out in 1989. The company has also announced enhancements to the DMS versions of its SRS-400 and SRS-410 ISDN terminal adaptors. The new version of the SRS-2000 is compatible with Northern Telecom’s BCS 31 software and features a removable feature cartridge. It also has an optional, customer-installable data module, soft keys to guide the user through functions and an unanswered call-logging capability. Fujitsu has also improved network-initiated diagnostic support for the DMS version of the terminal adaptors, with DTE/DCE support, remote loopback test, V.110/V.120 auto selection and improvements to help screens.
