By CBR Staff Writer

Fujitsu Ltd is ready to increase production at its disk drive factory in Hillsboro, Oregon, but has held up the announcement pending a successful solution to the US-Japan trade battle, reports our Tokyo correspondent: the plant is currently making only 10.5 drives, worth $72m a year, most of which go to Amdahl Corp; it had been planning to add 8 drives and expand output 1.5 times, but if it meets any bovver will confine itself to the 2.5Gb drives that go to Amdahl.
