Fujitsu also announced it is setting up a new services center in Northern Ireland, expected to come online this year and be fully operational buy the end of 2009.
The center will located in Derry and staff about 325 employees, 50 of which will start this year. Another 75 or so positions will be established at Fujitsu’s Belfast office in connection with the new facility. Fujitsu said it will invest 18m pounds ($35.4m) in the new center, and Northern Ireland’s economic development agency will contribute 5.7m ($11.2m) pounds.
