Fujitsu has made its first public announcement about its operating system copyright problem with IBM, currently before the American Arbitration Association: the company says that the current dispute concerns interpretation of the 1983 Compromise Agreement with IBM, that no customers will be inconvenienced by the result of the arbitration, and that recent reports concerning payments made by Fujitsu to IBM invite misunderstanding.
