Fujitsu-ICL Systems Inc, Dallas, Texas is to supply three New York-based banks with its 7000 Series cash machines. Under the contract the company will implement and support a total of 70 machines for First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Rochester, Independence Savings Bank and Northside Saving Bank. Fujitsu-ICL has also won a contract to replace all the IBM Corp 3624 cash terminals with its 7000 series at Mahoning National Bank, Youngstown, Ohio. The Fujitsu-ICL cash machines have an electronic journalling function to enable banks to track who is using the cash machines. Mahoning National Bank is also using the machine’s screen graphics to encourage local customers to use its machines in preference to those of others by displaying graphic images of local high-school and college-team mascots to appeal to local football fans. The graphics are also being used to run Mastercard and Visa credit card promotions.
