Fujitsu and Glovia International (GII) have launched a new production management ERP glovia G2, for the manufacturing industry.
The companies said that the new product combines functionality compliant with international standards and Japanese manufacturing, allowing the deployment and integration of production management systems globally. The software is expected to make production conditions visible by individually tracking the production, sales, and inventory status of each business site in a timely manner.
Fujitsu said that these capabilities of the new tool will allow customers respond to changes in international market conditions at each layer of their organisation and develop plans for global strategic production.
The companies have joined forces to address the challenges such as ensuring compliance with global business regulations in addition to consolidating administrative systems, enhancing IT investments through services integration, and gaining control over IT systems. glovia G2 makes information visible and supports productivity within companies.
According to Fujitsu, the new glovia G2 features an expanded security manager which controls security at the user and user-group levels and also supports compliance in areas such as production management and IT system regulations; and a service-oriented architecture platform that allows production management functions to be offered as service components.
The new product also feautes rich internet applications that enables each business location to step up operations and share information in real time, as well as ensures the precise grasp of conditions in production sites and the use of Japanese manufacturing know-how in business management, the company said.
In addition, glovia G2 also includes standard connection functionality to Salesforce CRM which helps to reveal demand fluctuations within each production site, in addition to supporting management and the site in evaluating and responding to them, the companies added.
