FUJITSU EUROPE TO ACQUIRE PORTUGUESE TELCO

Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe Ltd plans to acquire the Portuguese telecommunications supplier, Elotecnico Electronica a Telecomunicacoes SA, which has very close relations with the country’s largest supplier, Portugal Telecomstate. Fujitsu is buying 40% now and will be acquiring the whole for $5.7m by 2000.
