Fujitsu-Espana SA, 40% owned by the state telecommunications company Telefonica de Espana SA, has announced that it is to contribute $17m in equipment and money to Seville Expo 92, a major exhibition taking place in the city in 1992; Fujitsu, which has been in Spain since 1973, has a number of joint developments with Spanish Universities as well as three research and development centres, while last year’s turnover rose 27% to $170m; the company expects to launch a new electronic archive system aimed at the security and administration markets next June; the system will sell for between $60m and $80m depending upon the configuration.
