FUJITSU-ESPANA SUPPLIES FACOM M760/8 TO ELECTRICAS REUNIDAS DE ZARAGORA

By CBR Staff Writer

Fujitsu-Espana SA has supplied a Facom M760/8 mainframe to Electricas Reunidas de Zaragoza as part of the electric company’s computerisation project: Electricas has invested $2.1m in the low-end 3090-class CPU, which is 60% of the project’s total budget; the computer is the most powerful Fujitsu system installed in that part of Spain but the electricity firm is still mired in software conversion, having bought the Facom box only two months ago.
