FUJITSU DOES FIRST GaAs ARRAYS AS VITESSE SECOND SOURCE

In one of those thoroughly misleading statements to which Japanese companies are prone, Fujitsu Ltd says that, working with US chipmaker Vitesse Semiconductor Co, it has developed a GaAs gate array that is the first of its kind. In fact, the MB53000 series array is Fujitsu’s implementation of the pre-existing Vitesse Fury gate array family, fabricated under Fujitsu’s second source agreement with Vitesse (CI No 1,302).
