FUJITSU COMPUTER SALES FOR THE YEAR UP 15% TO $9,600

By CBR Staff Writer

Breaking down its unconsolidated turnover (see Company Results, page five), Fujitsu Ltd says that computer sales in the year to March rose 15% to $9,600m, telecommunications equipment sales were 19% ahead at $2,254m, and semiconductor sales rose 19.4% to $1,600m; exports rose 16% to $2,530m, 18.4% of the total – a strikingly low figure, because its US counterparts would expect to do nearer 50% of business abroad.
