Fujitsu Ltd and its Fujitsu Australia subsid-iary are joining forces to develop engineering productivity software which incorporates artificial intelligence techniques and is designed to enable systems engineers to diagnose and repair computer faults, and software developed in Japan for this purpose is already being translated into Strine: the next joint development project will be a configurator to be run from a display screen, and the Japanese end of the work will be carried out at the Fujitsu Kansai Systems Laboratory; Fujitsu is already developing software joint-ly with its firms in the US, Korea and China.
